The Bikeability Trust Announces Sounding Board Members

Last week The Bikeability Trust announced the new members of their sounding board to advise on the National Standard for Cycle Training and Instructor Training reviews. Included on the sounding board is our Head of Training, Kieron.

The Bikeability Trust is a new charity which has been set up specifically to promote and support Bikeability schemes. The Trust aims to raise the profile of Bikeability, further strengthen quality and seek additional funding to help deliver more training places.

16 members of the Sounding Board have been appointed (6 more than originally anticipated due to the strength of applicants) including Bikeability beneficiaries and providers with a wealth of experience and knowledge of:
  • all-ability cycling
  • primary and secondary education
  • driving instruction
  • The Association of Bikeability Schemes (TABS)
  • external quality assurance
  • coaching qualifications
  • Bikeability commisioners
  • scheme managerment
  • cycle instructors
Kieron is looking forward to joining the other sounding board members in March to continue supporting the industry to develop during a crucial period for cycle training.
