Balance bikes are specially-designed bikes without pedals that help young children (aged 3 to 5 typically) to learn core skills such as balance, stability & control BEFORE pedalling.
Schools, Nurseries and Community Groups
We run a variety of courses that are ideal as a fun introduction to balance bikes and aim to take children from balancing right through to riding a bike.
All sessions are enormous fun with plenty of games that draw out the skills, instilling confidence and a love for cycling right from the start.
The balance bike method works so much better than tricycles and stabilisers, meaning your child can learn to ride a bike sooner and safer.
If you’d like a Balance First session at your school, nursery or children’s group, please get in touch. We also run cycle try-out shows which are often free to the public and usually include balance bikes. Sometimes these are specific to toddlers such as at Milton Country Park.
